Countach style was designed by Marcello Gandini of Bertone design studio . This is one of the most exotic designs, pioneer in this field and popularized the sharp-angled design language "Italian Wedge".
Alfa Romeo Carabo ('68) and Lancia Stratos Zero ('70) concepts were the direct predecessors of the Countach. Like the Countach, they were both fully wedge-shaped, with a mid-engine layout, with a low flat truncated tail and angular details. Both concepts were equipped with unconventional methods of landing in the cabin-a hinged windshield for the Stratos Zero and scissor doors for the Carabo-also used on the Countach-it is the first car mass-produced with "scissor doors".
Most of the previous and subsequent names of Lamborghini cars are associated with the famous bulls and bullfights, but Countach broke this tradition. The name meant "surprise" in one of the dialects and was often used when looking at very beautiful women.
The 25th Anniversary Edition was the most advanced and fastest version of the Lamborghini Countach, accelerating from 0-97 km / h in 4.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 295 km/h.
